Showing Your Gratitude To Customers

11/16/2016

Proving Your Gratitude To Customers
Thanksgiving is a great opportunity to show your customers gratitude for their patronage. Not only is it one of the busiest times of year for businesses, but it is also all about family, friends and taking a moment to remember what makes you thankful. There are many ways - some of which are incredibly simple and straightforward - to let your customers know you are thankful for them.

Here are a few of note:

Custom gifts
Giving your customers gifts around this time of year is a time-honored tradition. My Customer, a website devoted to customer service tips, suggests personalizing the gifts to ensure that your clientele feels not only as though they are valued, but also that you understand them and what they enjoy. Depending upon the nature of your business, this could translate to complementary services that fit their specific needs, or products that have been designed and personalized with each customer in mind. As a note, consider tiering your gifts, with the most loyal customers getting a more substantial gift and those who are not quite as active getting a less expensive one.

Host an event
My Customer also recommends businesses hold some form of a customer appreciation event to show them that you care and are thankful for them. These events could feature complementary food, beverages and products, and serve as a great way to let your customers know about new products and services that you are developing. If you run a small, local business, definitely consider hosting one of these events between now and the middle of December, as it will draw them into the store around the busiest shopping period of the year.

Exclusive upgrades and offers
Host Gator, a web-hosting service provider, explains that the most loyal customers deserve an especially significant offering of gratitude. To do so, the firm states that you can give them exclusive deals on brand-new products and services you offer, such as discounts and complementary options. These are the customers who will likely fuel your revenues and profit margins the most over time, so catering to them is well worth the effort and investment.

No matter what you choose, make sure you are active in showing your customers your gratitude for their patronage in the coming months.
