What To Do Before, During And After A Flood

6/29/2016

Flooding is much more than just an inconvenience. It threatens the very livelihood of families' homes, belongings as well as those of business operations. That's because when high water levels enter a residence or establishment, it often leads to major interruptions because of the damage that it wreaks. In fact, among companies, approximately 25% of them that suspend operations due to flood-related damage never re-open their doors, according to estimates from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Luckily, there are many actions you can take to stay safe and protect your business or home in the event you experience a flood. While some of these may seem obvious, they're still good to go over so you can commit them to memory.
There is plenty you can do to protect yourself, your home or your business before, during and after a flood.
